Artist of the Month for May…Vincent on Monet’s Bridge!

Congratulations to Vincent Myers in Ms. Gavigaughn’s class for being last month’s Artist of the Month.  Vincent always comes to the Art Room ready to work.  He is focused and puts his best into each of his projects.  It pays off…he has created some great works of art this year!

For this project, students learned all about the life and works of Claude Monet.  We saw photographs and paintings of his home in Giverny, and then created our own versions of his beautiful gardens.  Students painted lilypads and waterlilies and added a japanese bridge over their ponds.  We then added photos of ourselves so students could see themselves standing on Monet’s bridge!  Great job as always, Vincent!
